Jessica was born and raised in Virginia to two teachers: Jeff & Dorothy Raskin. She worked consistently as an actress in the Washington, D.C. area until she moved to Los Angeles. Acting: At an early age, Jessica showed an intense passion for acting and performing. She began her career at age five as a child model and shortly became a member of both SAG and AFTRA. At seven, she was cast as "Susie-Q" in John Waters' Cry-Baby, where she got to work opposite Johnny Depp and Ricki Lake. Cry-Baby became an instant cult-classic. It was released on DVD in July 2005 and is scheduled to become a Broadway production in 2008. For Jessica, it was a life-changing experience that left her with a strong desire to pursue acting as a career. Through high school, she consistently work in professional theater, commercials, radio, and voice over. She performed at The Kennedy Center and with The Washington Opera Company. She attended The College of William and Mary whose alumni include John Stewart and Glen Close. She graduated with a BA in Classical Civilization and a BBA Marketing. In Los Angeles, she trained a Ivana Chubbuck Studios, Kalemensen&Kalmensen for voice over, and also took swordfighting at the Academy of Theatrical Combat. Writing: Jessica has an incredible writing talent that compliments her acting. Since 2007, she authored 4 short films and 5 feature films. She also works as a script consultant and has provided coverage on over 20 scripts. Jessica writes extremely quickly: from concept to completion in under a month.
Motto & Way of Life: Jessica believes that people who are truly happy with their lives are those who follow their passion in life. Along those lines, she lives her life without regret because she stays true to herself and makes her life the way she wants it to be. Her mottos in life are: Don't Take it Seriously! & You can't achieve success if you have self-doubt.
